Ordered a cheeseburger and fries and it was terrible! They were suppose to have a dinner buffet, with a sign that told what was on it. But all I saw was a salad bar with nothing for dinner like the sign said! If I go...More

It was such a good deal, we ate there twice. Decent selection of homestyle food on the buffet, fresh salad bar and soup bar and included dessert. Manager and staff made us feel very welcome. Drinks were decent too and reasonable. Setting was an old...More

This bar is great place to be alive. The drinks, live music and lovely patrons on Friday night was just what we needed. And they have food. The service was friendly. Smoking is permitted inside, if you didn't know. I can't wait to go back.

This place has been around many years. The buffet is open for lunch and dinner, both have good variety. Today for lunch it was Salisbury Steak, Beef Stew, Smoked Sausage and Baked Chicken. A salad bar with many items, 3 soups and dessert. Can't beat...More

While touring Grapevine, we stopped here for a wonderful lunch. We decided on Willhoite's because it is located on the Main Street of shopping and the positive reviews. We are so glad we did! The atmosphere is fun and they offer live music Wednesday-Sunday evenings....More

This was the last meal for our family reunion, and it was good! The restaurant is old and rustic with the buffet in different rooms. What made it special was the variety of food, the salmon, and the wonderful cinnamon rolls by the omelette station....More

Wow! For 15 a head, you cannot do any better. You really get a huge variety and cooked to order right before your eyes by a very funny chef. Beware, this is only Sundays and for the smoke haters stay away. There is smoking allowed...More

I have been here a few times. Three or four times for their buffet during lunch time. This last visit I went a night. Their food is probably on the average side but good. I like the ambiance and the customer service here. The late...More

I had been here several years ago and I thought I enjoyed it then. I was split between trying Jake's Uptown and going here again, so I decided to stop in and give it another try. I think I made the wrong decision. The main...More

Description
Willhoite's is one of the most unique restaurants in Texas, but it is also one of the oldest and most historical buildings in Grapevine! Built in 1914, the building first served as a dry goods store and was used for a time as a theater. In 1919, it was transformed into the first automotive garage in Grapevine. The name Willhoite's came from the name that Andrew Wiley Willhoite and Bart H. Starr used for their garage business, the first one-stop service station in the city with auto repair, battery re-building, tire sales and service, auto parts and accessories, and wrecker service. Willhoite's garage was also the local dealer for Attwater-Kent batteries, radios and the Vulcan wind-driven battery charger, which made it possible for many families in outlying areas to have electricity in their homes. In 1936, Ted Willhoite joined his father in the business and at that time, the first electric gasoline pump and hydraulic auto lift were installed. Ted Willhoite closed the garage and retired in 1975. Where diners eat now may have been the wash rack, oil storage area, or beside the indoor kerosene pump, but the history of Willhoite's Garage is a part of Willhoite's Restaurant; a part that the owner has restored as authentically as possible. Our Texas-sized buffet, delightful sandwiches and scrumptious appetizers are available now at Willhoite's instead of gasoline, oil and auto service, but the proud tradition of THE BEST is still the underlying priority of Willhoite's. We hope you'll enjoy our Texas hospitality and come back to visit us often!
