I would say between average and very good - Cheese enchiladas were very good. 2 of the people with me got breakfast tacos and said they were excellent. If you are driving through this area (we usually do going from Rosenberg to Fort Worth) it is a nice place to stop for a bite.

There are quite a few Mexican choices in Hearne. All of them have there specialties, this not being an exception. What does is the consistent food and value for your money. Best breakfast tacos around!

Ordered one of the Lunch Specials, Beef Enchiladas. While the chips were warm and fresh, the salsa tasted like tomato sauce straight out of the can. The service was great and the enchilada plate was good except for the charro beans. It was hard to put my finger on what I didn't like about them; I think the seasoning was... More

Ranked #1 in Hearne. Wow very inaccurate rating. Food took over an hour,(grilled Cheese, cheese enchiladas, shrimp tacos). All bad tasting and under cooked worst Mexican food we've ever tasted. The only positives were the chips and salsa, and tea. Will not be making this mistake again. I would definitely advise against this place. Save your money!!!

This is a decent stop when traveling between Tyler an Austin. We stopped in for a late breakfast. Migas were good. Tortillas were fresh. Great chips, but salsa was runny and not too flavorful. Restaurant was typical of a small town stop. Reasonably clean and lots of locals having lunch. Lots of family groups. Friendly decent service.

Been here three times and the food is consistently excellent. Recommend tacos, enchiladas and especially the side of Charro beans which are full of fun ingredients. Although the atmosphere is basic small town the food could compete in much bigger cities.

The pick 3 is good. You can pick three items, comes with beans and rice all for under 11 bucks! Huge proportions and the tea is to die for!!

The quality of the food prepared here is outstanding. Whether it is the breakfast plate with enchiladas, the breakfast tacos made to order, or simple eggs and pancakes, everything tastes fresh--chorizo which can be really heavy and greasy in other places is spicy and delicious. It's a real treat to have breakfast here and be waited on by the attentive... More

We were looking for some place to eat on our way back to East Texas from a trip to Brownsville and found this place. It's a small family owned business but the food and service was great. I had the Mexican plate with a beef taco, beef enchilada, tamale, beans and rice. It was great and l loved their enchilada... More
