After a morning of training, my colleague and I decided to go to Seco's for lunch based on the recommendation of a local staff person. At first glance, the menu looked to be a bit pricey for a "taquería." Well, that correct, because it isn't one. It's a beautiful old home converted into a cozy dining experience. My friend had... I visited this location for lunch with two colleagues today, and we all enjoyed the taco salad, which was delicious with the cilantro dressing. Their salsa is also excellent. The only issue is the parking situation. Only one spot in front and then some parallel spots, but that is about par for the area. Would come back.

This is not your traditional Mexican restaurant. Chef Seco, yes, Virginia, there is a Chef Seco offers an overwhelming number of entrees. Traditional Tex-Mex dishes but a wide range of other delights. The restaurant is small and intimate but that does not constrain the menu.

I've been going to Seco's for years. Very good food, an extensive menu, quick service and reasonable prices make it a favorite of locals in the know. I haven't had a bad dish, but keep going back to my usual: corn and spinach enchiladas, and the peppery sauteed calamari.

Great restaurant located in a small house in West University (just off Kirby by the Baskin Robbins). My husband and I go there about every other week & the food is consistently good. You can't go wrong with Salmon Seco Style! Also highly recommend it for Sunday brunch - tons of excellent food and gives you a chance to try... More

Seco's is a small restaurant close to Rice Village. My family has been going here for years and we love it. The food is consistently yummy and won't break the bank. It's my favorite place to go when taking friends to a new restaurant, since most people seem to not know about it. Recommend the spinach, corn, and beef enchiladas!... More

Dinner tonight at Seco's. What a great place. Great food at the most reasonable prices in town. I love the beef fajita nachos and the margaritas were especially good tonight. The owner/chef works really hard here and it's worth a visit.

We came for Sunday brunch about 12:45 pm. Brunch was $19.95 each excluding beverages - fairly expensive for a Mexican restaurant. The "buffet" line had about 25% of the containers totally empty although a sign said the buffet was served until 2:30. Most of the other containers were about 25% full and picked over. All of the food was at... More
