It's nice to go to one of the best restaurants in Houston, one of my favorites in the U.S. (probably only second to Le Bernardin for me), and have the focus totally on the food. Dress code is chic casual. Ambiance is comfortable and service...More

We usually go to The Pass for a high end date night dinner, but we decided to try Oxheart (finally!). The place is relaxed and quite casual - it has a good neighborhood vibe. The food is high end, veggie-centric for the most part, but...More

My Fiance' brought me to an amazing multi-course meal with wine pairings for my Birthday. I couldn't have asked for more of an eclectic combination of flavors! Chef Justin Yu is most definitely an artist in his craft.

This is the most unusual location for a real life foodie dream come true near downtown next to I-10. The head chef has of course been recognized as a James Beard Award nominee. Three choices: Vegetarian, or with meat, and with/without wine paring. Really one...More

I enjoyed eating here at Oxheart and appreciate the creativity and originality that the chefs are going for. I had never experienced anything quite like the dishes I was served. It was a casual setting almost to the point of too casual for this price...More

Very expensive dinner and not worth the price tag. If you have any type of appetite, consider somewhere else. Despite 6 courses it was not vaguely filling. The paired alcohol was slow and little in quantity which disappointed us as we were there for a...More

Oxheart was a very pleasant surprise of delicious and creative dishes. We selected one of each menu, so had the opportunity to try 9 different courses (between the two of us) and I can honestly say they were all excellent, some even exceptional. The only...More

It's all about creativity at Oxheart. A meal here will consist of ingredients you don't typically have together, leading to flavors you probably haven't experienced, all presented in attractively interesting ways, in a small but charming space. The service is excellent.

We were lucky enough to get a reservation here right after their summer break. The restaurant is located in an old part of town but is fun & artsy. The choices were either the Summer or Garden menu both being 6 course tastings. We chose...More
