Great Mexican food with homemade taste. Portions are large and they don't skimp on things like avocado or lime. The chips and salsa are always fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is a bit clunky and service speed can suffer when it is busy, but the staff is always friendly. My current favorite is the Chicken Fajita Torta (Mexican sandwich).

The restaurant may be nothing special, but the food has heart. Everything is so full of flavor from the rice to the flautas (which come highly recommended by the Houston Chronicle). I've never had a bad experience at Romero's. They are a community staple.

We come to Romero's often as they are in the neighborhood. Many of the staff recognize us and take good care of us. The service is great and the food is way above average. My wife gets spinach enchiladas or stuffed poblano peppers and loves both. I go for the choice of three dinner and usually get the pork tamale... More

Went there for dinner and there was a 30 minute wait which I found promising in that it was obviously very popular. When we were finally seated it was a full 10 minutes until chips and salsa were delivered to our table and at least five more until we saw our server. My dinner was passable at best, my son... More

My friend and her friends love this place. I never see them eat there, usually just drink. Waiter outside is attentive to needs. Never ate their food.

We went to the barker @ queenston location. Monday night, light crowd, no wait. 5 minutes after setting we get chips, 8 minutes queso we ordered, 10 minutes - drinks. Really, drinks after ordered food. No big deal, let's move on, it happens. The queso was powdered cheese and not good. We order nachos for the kids and they could... More

We have lived in the area for years. We have seen this restaurant for quite some time but never gave it a try. Well, one Saturday morning, we finally decided to give it a try. Let me start off by mentioning that we frequently visit the Romeros off Barker Cypress and Queenston. We absolutely love that location, both the service... More

This little restaurant has been rated consistently as a top restaurant by the Houston Chronicle. Our experience has been hit or miss but generally good enough that we go pretty regularly. Whenever family comes into town to visit, they alway request at least one meal at Las Brazas! Consistently excellent - and our personal favorites - are their ceviche, Super... More

Great food, great variety on menu, we love their weekend mexican breakfast choices also. Owner always there, greeting customers. Great margaritas too!
