We each got a side Caesar salad that was fabulous and a French dip. Could have split the sandwich as it was large. Au jus is their onion soup broth which was just ok. Chocolate croissant was flaky and as good as you get in Paris.

Coffee overpriced, quiche was flavorless. Chairs and tables crammed way to close together. They got our order wrong as well.

A popular place for breakfast or take out in Rice village. Muffins, biroche and coffee are all good and fairly reasonable priced. Lines in the morning can be slow mainly due to those needing more than a simple cup of black coffee. If you have a lot of time in the morning this would be a good place for breakfast... More

Was walking around University Village and came across this place. Was a bit hungry and looking for something simple. Tried their brioche and it was excellent. It must have just been prepared because it was warm, fresh, and flaky. Price was very reasonable, only $2 plus tax.

I had the feeling that they were doing a great favor to me in serving the coffee. The coffee was good, very good indeed, and the sweeties were good as well (passion fruit dessert and a lemon pie for my wife). But the service, not really friendly at all... I will not return, it is a pity...

We've enjoyed breakfast croissants and pastries there many times. Has outside seating, excellent food and beverages, but tends to get very crowded at times, because it's small and popular. Parking in Rice Village is also a problem, but if you can catch this place when it's not crowded, it's well worth the parking search. Also serves lunch and dinner, limited... More

First time visit to this storefront cafe in Rice Village and we found great food and a friendly, communal atmosphere. Soup, salads, quiches and sandwiches were all homemade and very tasty. The tight quarters lead to the wonderful community atmosphere. Save room for the pastries and desserts!

We visited for a quick and light dinner after a day at MD Anderson which is only 1.5 miles away. The chicken salad on baguette was large and very delicious. Croque Monsouir was also good along with cafe mocha. The bread on the sandwiches is delicious, pretty sure it's made right here. They have big glasses you can use for... More

Chicken salad on a baguette can't be beat! We didn't try quiche, pasteties or coffee ... but all looked delicious! Breakfast clientelle: business types and mom's with strollers. Lovely neighborhood find!
