After a fabulous visit to Southern Spain, I looked forward to reliving some 'tapas moments' here in Houston. The family went for happy hour drinks and tapas on the patio with a discount coupon. The patio setting was lovely, right out on the street to watch the passersby. The service out on the patio was fine. The tapas were okay,... More

It has a large menu of assorted tapas. Servings are adequate size and all that we had were quite tasty. The croquettes and stuffed olives were excellent. The grilled shrimp and fried calamari were well prepared and not overcooked. They have a good wine list. The flamenco dancers were lively but the music was overwhelming and many tables were not... Mi Luna has undergone several transformations since it first opened a number of years ago. Today, it is a spacious, open, light and pleasant place, with indoor and a few outdoor tables. Much of the clutter of previous versions has been removed, capacity increased and so has the number of options on the menu. The tables are still bare and... More

The Paella is a traditional dish of Spain, preparing a perfect Paella is giving it the exact touch on the rice and its condiments. The most important aspect is that the tastes don't mix, meaning the shrimp doesn’t taste like pork, or the chicken doesn’t taste like mussels; each ingredient should have its original taste. HERE THE PAELLA HAVE A... More

Not the same as previous visits. The food ix still good, but service was beyond poor. Water glasses empty and never refilled and we were thirsty. After our dinner was served, we had to ask for appetizer that was never brought beforehand. Maybe they were short staff because the chef was bringing out food, but a simple apology and explanation... Monday through Friday they do happy "hour" from 1-6 PM and offer a terrific assortment of tapas from their regular menu for $5 per plate, along with sangria, wine and mojitos , also for $5 each. It's a casual setting with Gypsy Kings playing in the background, and the food is really authentic (with hot, cold, meat, seafood and vegetarian... More

We had visited Mi Luna several years ago and found that they had changed the decor significantly, removing the booths that lined one wall. The change made the restaurant feel more open but less romantic. My husband, son, and I shared seafood paella and three tapas dishes - one shrimp, one chicken, and one beef - and we felt comfortably... More

We loved it. I was afraid of tapas before and now I do not know why little plates of food scared me! We sampled the salmon salad with pears& manchango cheese, so good!! Delicious asparagus with raspberry vinaigrette. Then dined on shrimp skewers with fried potatoes and Spanish chicken cordon blu !!! We took desert to go since we are... More

Authentic Spanish tapas in Houston! Sunday afternoon is great for couples and friends. Half price sangria as good as any I've had in Madrid. Oxtail, goat cheese, and chicken skewers trickled out in proper sequence. Great service, always.
