Catalina is a well-established coffee place. It is very accessible and has enough parking pace at the back with is a great plus. The coffee is excellent, pastries are OK. The main downside - no wi-fi. I assume they don't want people to stay too long...

Catalina takes pride in pulling perfectly roasted espresso perfectly, so that all of the bean's nuances and range of flavors come o fruition. Their beans from Amaya (single origin to seasonal blends curated from small farms) are roasted lightly, not dark, so that flavors and aromas aren't masked (rather, destroyed) by heavy roasting, often used to cover the limitations of... I am not a coffee drinker. I usually go for macha or chai latte. Catalina provides the best chai latte I've ever had. Creamy and perfectly balanced between sweet and spicy. They also provide a good selection of croissants. Tables are available outdoors.

Found this little coffee place while we were killing time between a play we had seen and attending a Christmas party. I got one of their teas and received enough for about three cups of tea. My husband got a cappuccino, which he enjoyed and their foam art was nicely done. Wait staff were pleasant and helpful. Inside was very... More

There are several hipster coffee bars in houston that have popped up over the past few years. I wish i could say Catalina has something specifically unique, but its just like most of the hipster places out there. Their coffee was good and they have a house-made syrup (this time it was Lavender) to add to a latte. Their menu... More

What a great dive coffee shop with outside seating on the side and in front with muffins and scones along with all types of coffee making equipment for sale. The atmosphere is great, relaxing, you can sit at inside tables with strangers or find friends you have not seen in a while...then stop to chat a bit before moving on.... More

It's definitely worth the journey up to Catalina. The shop has a mixed clientele and is a spacious, welcoming place to relax and escape the Houston heat. The coffee is locally roasted by Amaya Roasters, which is a sister company to Catalina. They offer a wide range of roasts including seasonal specials. Coffee machine used :La Marzocco.

The best they have its that every time they're able to deliver a great cup of coffee! It sounds as a simple task but it's actually quite difficult to accomplish. This one of the few places in Houston where you can actually have a real and we'll prepared cup of espresso/macchiato.

Quality coffee, tea and baked goods. I am not a coffee drinker but I live their chai latte....iced in summer and hot in "Fall and Winter". My wife loves their coffee and they do a nice job on presentation. Fresh baked goods are great too. Nice to sit outside in and watch the cars go by on Washington Ave.... except... More

The Almond Croissant is delicious and the barista is well versed with his coffee art. Cozy place to relax and catch up with your friends.
