Sliced brisket sandwich was lean and tasty we ordered home fries that were fresh and hot! Also ordered a baked potato topped with chopped brisket. The potato was cooked perfectly and was a good size. The beef was a good portion too! All of this plus a drink was only $15 so it was a great value!

I must have been reading fake ads because we saw a couple of 4 star ratings and decided to head to this place. Please note that when you enter the parking lot of a barbecue restaurant, in a barbecue crazy state, and it is empty RUN! But we went inside anyway. There wasn't a soul in this place except for... I hate to give this place a bad review, but it has declined immensely within the past few years. They're one of the few establishments in Irving to receive an "F" on their health score. Granted, they were able to bring it up to a B+ within the 48 hour grace period, but last time I went it was clearly... More

I stopped in for lunch and had the big bbq beef sandwich. They pulled the brisket out of the smoker to make it! Big sandwich and great taste. I had potato salad it was ok, coke slaw it was go I d and mac n cheese not very good. There were a lot of sides choices. Funky atmosphere. I'll be... More

I chose the "Out of Sight" plate for 7.99. The hogie style bun was filled with BBQ with 2 sides. It was a slow day but the food preparation looked as if they could have handled a large crowd. I appreciated this type of consistency. It is too far from my house to go back often but I will go... More

We ate there on a Friday night and we were barbecue hungry, so we stopped. My wife did notice it was empty, buyer went in anyway since it looked okay. We both ordered the combo sandwich and I think it was the biggest sandwich I have ever gotten! Seriously, we should have ordered one and split it. It was all... More

Visiting Texas from Florida for business, saw a flyer for Tommy's Bar-b-que. My business partner wanted to give them a try. We both were amazed, meeting Tommy, who came to America from Korea in 1975, and opened Tommy's 20 years ago. I had the Brisket, and Turkey, he had the Brisket and Ribs. Lord, the portions were more than expected.... More

Recommended by the front desk at the Holiday Inn Express (great place!) I stopped at Tommy's and ordered the three meat plate for take-out. The hot links, ribs and pulled pork were all moist and juicy and I was given so much that I put half into the room refrigerator and ate a second meal the next night! The fried... More

The beef is tender, The sausage is flavorful, the beans spicy and the "Tater Salad" is home made. Not easy to find. Located on Irving Blvd 1/2 mile east of Beltline Rd and 183.
