Walking into this lively restaurant you are met with the great aroma of BBQ. The hostess seated our party of eight right away. Our server greeted us and took our drink and appetizer orders promptly. The onion rings and cheese fries came very quickly as did our cocktails. Their margaritas were a really nice lime green color and had great... More

Great service and food is always consistently good. I have had waiters suggest different items with great success. I have eaten there multiple times.

Average at best. Server was friendly. The Brunswick Stew was not very good. I expected better with all the Texas BBQ hype.

Brisket and ribs are my favorites - the potato salad is unbeatable - the catfish appetizer is a grand slam - this has been a standard for years - only reason for 4 out of 5 is service - can be a bit unpredictable if you are in the unassigned section.

This is a reasonably decent version of bbq smothered in sauce. Yankees put sauce on barbecue to cover up their nasty meat selections. If you like fatty meat covered in sugar, this may be the place for you. If you prefer salt and pepper rub dry bbq, don't come here for it.

Everything was great about this place. The food, service, atmosphere were all grade A. The server was helpful and attentive but not pushy. We went on a Saturday evening and it was not crowded and the food was perfect. The music is right on with the Memphis blues and jazz. I def will be revising this place and recommending it... More

This is a great restaurant and they have a separate take out area as well. The ribs are so good that I have to order them every time, but the sausage, and pulled pork and chicken are delicious as well. It's on the expensive side so I it's a special treat place.

My wife and I are BBQ lovers, and we decided, as we were in the area that we'd like to try it for our 2 year anniversary. The service was impeccable, unfortunately I don't remember our servers name but she was polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The meat, however, want the best BBQ we had ever had... More

Located nearby the Hyatt House, a convenient walk across the highway. Severs are prompt and the menu is full of option for barbeque with 4 flavor sauces at each table. Nothing fancy - just good barbeque.

Red Hot and Blue is a full-service, casual-themed restaurant chain and caterer featuring delicious award-winning ribs, Memphis-style barbeque, smoked wings, and Southern sides and desserts. The atmosphere is steeped in legendary and contemporary blues music and delivers a large dose of Southern hospitality in a fun and entertaining dining environment. History: The first Red Hot and Blue restaurant opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1988, started by Lee Atwater, Don Sundquist and friends. Don Sundquist was from Memphis and served in the House of Representatives and as governor of Tennessee. The late Lee Atwater was an amateur blues musician and political figure that managed George H.W. Bush's successful race for the presidency. These men were friends who longed for authentic Memphis-style barbeque and great blues music. Unable to find that combination anywhere in the Washington, DC area they decided the only way to get it done was to open a restaurant of their own. The Memphis-style barbeque chain celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2013 by partnering with a charitable organization at 24 different restaurant locations. The yearlong celebration culminated in the presentation of thousands of dollars in donations to local charities. The Name: The name, "Red Hot and Blue" is taken from the title of D.J. Dewey Phillip's radio show that that aired on WHBQ-AM in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1950s. This radio show launched the careers of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash and broadened the audience for artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray and Rufus Thomas. Red Hot & Blue Dine-In, Take-Out and Catering. Hickory-smoked Memphis-style BBQ, Ribs, Wings, Beef Brisket, Smoked Chicken, Seafood, Full-service Bar, in a Family-friendly atmosphere with a heapin' helpin' of Southern Hospitality!
