Incredible stop for BBQ - a very local spot with incredible history and local color. Trophy heads of lots of game. We just entered the hunting zone of Texas. Lots of hunters where in the place. The wood fired pit was cooking in the back of the parking lot. True BBQ!!!! It was great.

Stopped on the way West for a quick dinner. We had brisket and sausage and it was moist and satisfying. I would not recommend the original sauce as it is vinegar based. They have an alternate that I found more to my liking. But there are choices so that is a plus. It is a cafeteria line so service is... More

Wife and I were traveling interstate 10 and planned on spending the night here in Junction. Pick this barbecue restaurant as it was close to our motel. They offer several different meats in a paper plate with plastic utensils and your choice of two sides. Sides were potato salad, beans or coleslaw. Drinks in a Styrofoam cup. Food was OK... More

I was driving on 10 for so many miles looking for a place to eat that served Texas BBQ. One that wasn't a place built there on the chance of catching exhausted travelers just wanting to shovel calories into their gullets. I do not like buffets and that's what I had been seeing for miles & miles... Coopers is a... More

Stopped in for late lunch. Fast friendly counter assembly line style service. I got a chopped brisket sandwich...tender beef completely covered a saucer size bun. Self serve drinks and condiments. Hubby had brisket plate with potato salad and beans. Two sauces were available : Cooper Original which was VERY thin and watery...minimal taste. The Rojo Red sauce was much better....... More

I had a sliced brisket sandwich. It wasn't quite done (brisket needs long cooking time), and boy, was it fatty. I felt that the price of the sandwich, a small side and a drink was pretty pricey. Sorry but I wouldn't eat there again.

Great bbq, but a bit expensive for the area. Not much to look at around the restaurant, but interesting decor with lots of hunter's trophies on the walls.

We stopped by due to pumping gas and the smell was amazing. We decided to try it. It was good however we asked for sauce on it and it was almost non existent. No pickles were included either. I have never had BBQ with no pickles. Maybe they were having a bad day. My tip is ask for extra sauce.... More
