The setting is nice and the service was excellent. The food was very average. The fried catfish fillets, grilled catfish, and special blackened catfish with crawfish creole were all very average. The fried whole catfish is probably the best bet.

At 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night, we arrived and it was busy. We were told it would be a long wait. We asked how long. The young lady said 30 minutes. After a brief chuckle, we let her know that where we live, a long wait is 1 1/2 hrs. We sat on the deck looking out over Caddo as... More

We have been to Riverbend numerous times, and it only gets better. Fried catfish is my favorite, but they also have shrimp, gator, frog legs, steaks and burgers. The very best coleslaw you'll EVER have. Great food and great staff. You can't go wrong.

I have eaten here twice in the last couple of weeks and have been very impressed. We have had the filet and whole catfish and the fried shrimp. All were top notch. The coleslaw is super as are the hush puppies. Service was friendly and efficient. The chef came out multiple times to check on us. Anyone visiting Caddo must... More

Did not know what to expect. We had steak dinner planned for later that evening, so we were going to "eat light". We shared fried catfish plate. Before the catfish arrived, they brought out a big bowl of cole slaw, a big bowl of beans, and a HUGE plate of the largest hush puppies I have ever seen. ALL mouth... More

Lost market share for about a year. Tried to switch to the Asian catfish for awhile, but discovered that customers did not like it as well. They have returned to the good domestic catfish and the yummy fried coating that made them famous originally. Beautiful location. Great fried catfish once again. Welcome back Riverbend.

I've eaten here on several occasions. The location is out of the way, but the scenery is worth the drive. The staff is friendly, the food is great, the prices are reasonable. I recommend eating outside on the screened-in porch to enjoy the atmosphere of Caddo. The Riverbend Special is fantastic!

This is a lovely location overlooking the river, the service is casual and very friendly, if a little sporadic. The salad was fresh and dressing was on the side, which I prefer as most restaurants over dress their salads. The rib-eye steak was on the thin side, but perfectly cooked with a side of fries you can tell were home... More

We had dinner here one evening while staying in Caddo Lake State Park. You gotta understand you aren't in the big city and things are a bit slower, but the people are all very friendly and the food is good. We had alligator and catfish with all the trimmings on the patio; a great meal.

I was worried when I came through the door, stood around for 3 minutes with no one in sight that worked there. The people in front of us got seated. The owner I guess/manager comes up oh man we are slammed you are going to have to work with me. I said ok lets give it a try and boy... More
