We've eaten at Natty Flat's restaurant before and this week, our group was having an RV rally nearby and we had Natty Flat cater our dinner at a campground one evening. They brought a trailer with cooked food, warmers, drinks and service items. They wasted no time hauling it into our rally hall and getting the chow line setup. We... More

Just ate at their new restaurant in Mineral Wells while visiting family in the area. Didn't see the Mineral Wells location on Trip Advisor so I'm posting it here! I had a fantastic warm smoked ham sandwich. Other family had the pulled pork and the chopped beef. Everyone left full, happy and satisfied! We were told to check out the... More

Great barbecue! And love looking at all the canned items - love the candied jalapenos! Fun items to look at in a comfortable atmosphere. Go next door and visit the shop and say hello to Sherry and Larry!

I have been stopping at Natty Flat occasionally since about 2008, and last stopped in spring 2016. I always found the brisket fresh, and have brought some home a few times. The brisket isn't top Austin/Lockhart quality, but it was good enough that I'd get a pound or two. I bought a few pounds today during a stop and when... More

We stop once a year when in the area. We love the pulled pork. Also we love the warm potato salad. The BBQ freezes well so we take a supply with us. It's also a great place to look at the other stores

The food was tasty, we had the jalapeno sausage sandwich, green beans, and beans. The outdoor area was a great place to let our kiddo wander with a little wooden bridge and farm equipment to see. Out houses were clean and cute. Blue bell ice cream and candy shop sweets to buy. Fun stop!

We have stopped at Natty Flat Smoke House several times and it just keeps getting better! The old west atmosphere is great but the food and fried pies make it even better. The Ham sandwich with potato salad and a buttermilk pie for dessert makes this place....OFF THE CHARTS! Highly recommend it to anyone. They only make the fried pies... More

We were recommended to go here by one of the locals for the "chicken fried steak" - a Texan delicacy apparently. Well it was delicious, and the waitress was so helpful when she found out we were on our honeymoon from England she came over with a list of local places to visit. The diner itself is very Texan, with... More

It is a rare occasion that I ever eat BBQ that I haven't cooked as like all other Texas guys, each of us think our BBQ is best. After a day of fishing, my son suggested this place as he'd been there once before. Natty Flats is about 50 miles west of Fort Worth and south of I-20 a few... More
