We were here on a Friday evening and it wasnt very busy but did start to fill up shortly after we arrived. I would think that booking would be advised at the weekends though especially at busy holiday times. The food was good and the prices very reasonable 18 euro for 3 courses, wine by the bottle or pichet ,... More

We have visited this restaurant before and we're very happy with everything. Sadly since our last visit a couple of years ago it has undergone a refurbishment. It used to a charming olde world feel of France with subdued lighting, proper napery and was always busy. It's now bright lights and Formica tables and there were three couples, a fourth... More

As usual our meal was memorable. Plateau de Fruit de Mer on a dark and wet November evening took us back to a lovely summer's evening over looking the sea in Brittany many years ago. The wine was excellent and the food very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back to celebrate more birthdays!

We enjoyed a good meal here on a quiet night. The red mullet in soya and honey was unusual and delicious. All perfectly cooked and well served by a friendly waitres. A nice, warm atmosphere.

Lots of good reviews for this restaurant but a bit of a disappointment for us. maybe the weather kept people at home because it was very quiet which is not a good sign for a friday evening. It was also perhaps the reason why the waitress was happier to chat to her friend than to look after our needs. The... More

Dined here on Monday evening and was not disappointed. The service was good from the young waitress and the proprietor and the dishes we chose all proved to be delicious. Would not hesitate to visit again for a real taste of France.

We only had one evening in St Omer and this restaurant was all we could have hoped for. The three courses were all great in presentation, flavour and cost.

On a stopover in St Omer, my partner and I were looking for a French style dinner and we weren't disappointed. We were warmly welcomed by the waitresses on a busy Monday evening. Our kir aperitif set the course for the meal. We both chose the same menu starting with an incredible seafood starter. See photo. Main course was duck... More

Unusual for French restaurants to offer a set menu in the evening but here, the Menu du marché provided 3 courses for €18. There are two permanent choices for each course and also a blackboard listing the dishes of the day. The food was amazing, particularly the starters and for an extra €3 supplement, we were able to choose desert... More
