Love to pick up bread when we visit New Braunfels. This bakery has been here for as long as I can remember & our whole family loves their bread. I love the rye, but no matter what kind we get, it's always good!More

Neat historic bakery in New Braunfels. We had donuts, which were delicious and took home a peach pie, which was good but not memorable. I'd like to go back and try more of their breakfast pastries.

Always a stop for us to grab a treat! Love the fresh donuts and coffee cakes. I had to get a "quick sale" coffee cake for the road.

Naegelin's Bakery is the oldest Bakery in Texas. It has maintained the same original German flavor in all that they bake. My favorite is the Apple Strudel. A slice of apple strudel and coffee for breakfast cannot be beat. I always get a whole strudel...More

This is a cute little Texas bakery and I wanted to buy one of everything in there. They had a selection of day old bakery items for purchase (1/2 off). We got a donut, cannoli and cinnamon roll and all were very tasty. Lots of...More

Nice selection with the bakery things you find all over. Tastier than most. I wish they had room inside for a coffee & cake break. two table outside were taen but even if there was more the 100 degrees was too uncomfortable to be outside

To offer the same baked goods in the same building that your great-grandfather enjoyed them is automatic qualification for greatness. For them to taste as good as they do in childhood memories is qualification for legend. Naegelin's is the life link to the roots of...More

Description
The fresh cookies, pastries, pies and cakes from Naegelin's Bakery are of historic proportions and timeless quality. It's all in the preparation. The Granzin family still uses recipes developed by the Naegelin family during more than a century of experimentation to get the right ingredients. As you walk into the front door of the bakery, the sweet smell of baked foods engulfs you like a warm blanket. The glass cases are full of what seems like an almost endless array of cookies and pastries in a rainbow of colors. The bakery is still famous for their strudels that Naegelin perfected years ago. The Granzin's have added terrific sausage kolaches in addition to the menu of fruit filled kolaches. We suggest you try the popular favorite: the Lebkuche, a thick, rectangular brown cookie covered with pink frosting. Don't forget to try our apple strudel! We look forward to seeing you soon!
