Samui continues to set the standard for Thai food in the North Dallas area. The food has remained consistent for years. The staff is wonderful and eating here is always a good experience.

The worst food we have endured in the USA. Extraordinarily sugared pad thai and green curry dishes. Not in the slightest authentic. Green curry had no oriental herbs or spices. Sate starter had no flavour whatsoever.

We went as a group of eight people for dinner. The entrees were all very inexpensive, at least to this East Coast resident. However, there were two major challenges. The first is that for more than 20 minutes after arriving the wait staff was no where to be found. They sat us down, said someone will take your order soon,... More

Food, service, and atmosphere are great at Samui's. The location is especially desirable - it's walking distance from the Angelika Plano movie theater. Most dishes are served with rice, and have meat or seafood in a savory sauce with plenty of vegetables. Some dishes are richer than you would expect for Thai food. You can get your dishes as spicey... More

Personally, I love the curries at Samui. This trip, I dove into a seafood curry that had great flavor. They will adjust the heat to your liking, so don't be afraid. The service was excellent. I'll be back.

Where the majority of Thai food places in Plano are store fronts for a takeout business Samui stands out as a nice place to go for dinner out either as a couple or with a group. I used Samui as the entry point of introducing my wife to Thai food. The upscale feel of the place seemed to make her... More

Service and food were wonderful. Warning....dinner portions are large so go hungry or share! Located in a great area of shops and bars.

My friend and I went here over lunch the week before Christmas, it was very busy but we got seated quickly. Very pleasant surroundings, decor, seating etc. This restaurant is on the main drag of 'The Shops' so not far to walk from the parking garages. Service was swift. We both opted for the lunch specials. I had the Singapore... More

A standard stop for lunch when we are in town. The food is good quality and a nice selection of items. This is somewhat "Americanized" Thai, more refined with some good flavors. Worth a stop if you are in the mood for Thai, you won't likely be disappointed

Beautiful night to eat on the small patio. Unfortunately, often overlooked or slow service due to being the only one on the patio! The menu arrived with a delectable entrée of dover sole, stuffed with crabmeat and spinach in a green curry sauce with shrimp and scallops. Beautiful presentation and the first several bites were delightful although not very hot.... More
