I will say the food was good. The gal at the counter was abrasive and not that friendly or welcoming. We chalked it up to the after lunch rush blues, but she needs to work on that. We split sandwich and each had a salad. Everything was fresh. Dressing was amazing.

I LOVE the food at Sandy McGee's. It's great combinations of flavors make it oh, so yummy! The evening we met there, however, our waiter had BAD body odor. He was very friendly...too friendly when you smell that bad!

I can not say enough good things about the food at this restaurant! The Broccoli Cheese soup is the best I have ever had, the fruit is always fresh.

Tremendous salads, historic atmosphere, great service, the best small garlic bread pieces in the world, and a large selection of special sandwiches and other dishes. Don't miss it if you're in the area. You won't regret coming.

A Richmond, Texas landmark. Step inside the historic building and collect a menu from the stack on the table. Review it while you wait in line. At the cash register, place your order and pay. Drool over the dessert display. Take your assigned table and wait. Soon the food arrives, hot and delicious. The corn tortilla soup is excellent. The... More

Highly recommend the chicken salad and the fruit salad with special dressing. Price is a little high and service is a little low. Best time to visit is late morning before the lunch crowd. Best part is the experience is supporting the town of Richmond Texas, wishing another restaurant would open there as well.

I had been to Sandy McGees a few times...not my favorite place but pretty good. I took friends from Arizona there on Jan 11 because I wanted to show them some local flavor. We arrived about 6pm and the restaurant was not real busy but it took 10-15 minutes to get menus and water. Then it took a while for... More

This place is great. Very nice service and good atmosphere. Located in an older building in historic downtown Richmond. The train runs just behind the building. Located not far from the Brazos river. Local artwork is sometimes on display. Really good, comforting food. My favorites are the brocolli cheese soup, spinach and fruit salad. They make especially delicious desserts. The... More

I have visited Sandy McGee's on several occasions...I can say I have never been disappointed. The food is always great, the staff friendly and the price is good for what you get. It's one of my must haves if I am on that side of town!
