Typical local bar with typical bar food. Bottle cap murals on walls are cool. Staff and locals seemed friendly. Two pool tables.

Great place to get a burger and have a cold one! We usually eat there several times each year when staying in our RV at the Goose Island State Park. It is located actually north of Rockport after you cross the Copano Bay bridge. Basically all we ever get there are great burgers or every once in a while and... More

Pop's has been a family favorite for years but a recent visit has taken it off my list of favs. The blackened fish portion was 4" at its widest tapering 4" to a point - couldn't have weighed more than 2oz. Sides were wilted iceberg lettuce and soggy fried okra. This was a Sunday but the place had plenty of... More

Pop's is a local dive, been there for many years, and is where the local fishermen go to lie about what they caught that day. Décor is pool tables, and large fish pictures. Food is good, great hamburgers, good servings of catfish and oysters.

Coming back from a trip we had a lunch at this place. The service was poor, just like they want you leave as soon as possible. I ordered a flounder, that came over fried with a side of curly fries in a basket ? my wife ordered a "PO boy" with shrimps, she get only 3 shrimps with cold chips... More

Consistently the best burger in town in my opinion. Bleu Cheese Bacon burger is what I always get......big fresh patty perfectly cooked every time I get it. The raw oysters that kept coming out of the kitchen were big juicy looking ones - must try.......Don't even try burgers in Rockport, come out to this great spot which is a friendly... More

A local establishment with pool tables, bar, etc. I’m sure that the majority of Pop’s business is done in the evenings, during games, etc. However, given the quality and cost of the food served, I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to eat here. Since it was oyster season, I ordered the oyster platter which came with French fries... More

Everyone told us that if we wanted fried Oysters we needed to head to Pop's. We drove the extra miles across the bridge for a weekday lunch and left unimpressed. Yes, we expected a local dive. What we did not expect was surly service that expected us to order our meal at the first visit by the stern-faced waitstaff and... More
