My friend and I stopped by the tea room today for some dessert after an afternoon of shopping. Having been to various tea rooms in the past, I had certain expectations of what a tea room should be like: dainty decor, light sandwiches and soups, various pastries, and high-end teas served in an elegant fashion. Ambrosia Tea Room is the... More

The slowest wait and kitchen staff I've ever experienced. As small as this place is and only half full two waitresses should have been enough but 2 orders of soup and cold sandwiches took a hour and a half. Truly a shame because when we did get our food and drinks it was all delicious, I hope the service has... More

My sister and I enjoyed lunch at the Ambrosia Tea Room during our recent visit to Salado. It's in a great location right in the heart of Salado, within easy walking distance of lots of shopping and great B&B's. The Tea Room is actually several rooms - which makes each room feel cozy/intimate. We ate on the sun porch and... More

Took my granddaughter for lunch, what a cute surprise this was! She loved the tea served in an antique cup and the lunch was delicious!! The atmosphere is great and service top notch! Looking forward to another visit

Been to Salado for antique shopping for years, but never stopped here for lunch before. Met up with a friend, and SO glad we did. Amazing spot for lunch - peach tea, tea sandwich sampler, lobster bisque soup. Can't wait to go back again.

We stopped in just for dessert with our granddaughters and were delighted. Darling decor and delicious food make it a great place for a special girls' outing- and my husband loved the fresh, warm strawberry cake, too.

I tried all the non-barbeque places in town. This place I would put in the second tier of places for lunch in Salado.

This place is very pink and Victorian once you get inside. (Great for girls lunch). I think we went through the wrong entrance up front is a travel agency. They looked like they had a back entrance. When we got to the hostess we were in line. I was listening while looking around & a lot people looked like they... More

Tried Ambrosia for lunch during the Salado Art & Flower Festival and had an enjoyable meal outside on the patio. Service was excellent, waitress, helpful and friendly. We had the sandwich special with soup and it was almost too much to eat; all for about $10. Well worth a try when you are in this interesting town
