We frequently visit SPI in June and love dinner at Dirty Al's during our trips. Yummy food and good prices. A decent kids menu and alternatives for those who don't like seafood. It's a family favorite for us!

I had seen low reviews for this spot on Yelp but local recommendation pushed us there. I understood the low reviews after about 5 minutes. They don't open until 11am, we got in there about 11:05, so it wasn't busy at all. However, it took...More

We visited on a Monday night around 7 pm. We were seated quickly in a corner table near the entrance and given menus. Waitresses were whizzing around us for 20 minutes, and I finally stopped a waitress to find out where our's was. She said...More

We stopped in at Dirty Al's one afternoon to have a beer and check out the menu. Looked good so came back a few nights later. It was Memorial Day weekend so very crowded and noisy (no fault of Dirty Al's). We were seated right...More

This place is a very serious contender for the best seafood place at the Island. While I wouldn't say that it is the best, it is certainly a place that is very consistent with its food. I think a big downside is that the price...More

About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
