We found this to still be open after 9:00pm on a Saturday in Galway City Centre and weren't disappointed. The food is better quality (and a bit more expensive) than typical pub fare but very worth it.

We were in town just for the night and wanted some bar grub. We left very happy! Upon sitting at a table we were greeted by a waitress and served super quick. Besides beer we ordered the fish and chips and chicken wings, both were good bar food. It happened to be trivia night so that was a lot of... More

Went with few of my colleagues, I found the place having an old charm. We liked the place. Waitress were attentive. Despite huge crowd, we got everything we wanted in time. We spent almost 4 hours there. It is definitely a place to visit.

I had the steak, my friend the fajittas (spelling!!) - both very good. This is a traditional Irish Pub and restaurant, I eat there a lot for lunch, so it was a treat to be there for dinner. Lunch is always good, consistent, relaxed and friendly. My friend eats there a lot with her family and groups from work, she... More

Pub Grub We were wanting some good pub grub and chose McSwiggan’s. I had a corned beef Reuben sandwich and my husband had the fish and chips. The corned beef was a little on the dry side, but it was still delicious. The fish and chips were good. They change the oil daily to fry the fish and the servings... More

We're from New England and the clam Chowdah was the best ever. Eddie and Russ were very attentive and the service was impeccable. Would definitely recommend to others.

I've been craving a rueben for a week and since today is St. Patrick's Day I felt it was the perfect day for one. I searched reviews and came up with a couple of options. The winner? McSwiggan's. Actually I was the winner because I enjoyed it so much. The servers were attentive (it was early in the lunch hour)... More

The food was really good, the service was good, and the server took the time to get to know us and what we were in town for. I liked the smaller "bar" feeling of this place. I would go back again!

My wife and I are In town visiting family for the holidays and came by here for lunch yesterday. I noticed on the menu they use Haddock for the fish in Fish and Chips. All of us ordered it and it was very good. The wait staff are also very nice and courteous too. They have a good number of... More
