I personally think the best thing about TORT is the peach cobbler--it is worth going here just for that. The BBQ is pretty good--but go for the peach cobbler!!

I had a baked potato with meat and it was really good. We went there the week after Christmas in the evening. Plenty of seats at the time. Quick and tasty. My family lives near here and loves it. Tasty!

There are many smoke houses in Houston and this is a pretty good one. Meet was very tender and flavorful. The smoked beef was delicious. Baked beans were good. Potatoes. Nothing fancy but great and tasty food. We will be back. FYI they do catering and corporate events as well. Enjoy!!!

order at the counter and they bring the food to you. No tipping. They specialize in BBQ. However, other items are on the menu and it is all very good. They also have daily specials

Service was good, but the food was very disappointing. We will not eat here again. Spent $80 for 3 lbs of meat and sides. We used to be regulars at the Rib Tickler and it was great. It has been 10 years since we dined here. The brisket was dry and tasteless, the ribs tasted stale and the turkey was... More

Local eaterie in Tomball. They used to be a roadside shack, but have grown to a nice blockhouse. Food to go or eat in. Prob has room for 50 inside and another 30 outside. Fast drive thru. Good bbq, good turkey, big baked potatoes, good pies. Downhome Texas sweet tea. Cheap and as good as almost any in Texas. The... More

We ordered food to go for about 50 people. The owner Mr. Ted Johnson took time to listen and help select the perfect amount of food. The food was delicious- the kids and adults devoured the brisket, sausage, chicken and mac-n-cheese. The atmosphere and interactions are exceedingly polite and remind one of long-ago Tomball.

The smell from the street was enough to get your stomach grumbling it smelt so good. It's not fancy but your not there for decor. Not only was it good the sides, I had the beans and potato salad, but the loaded baked potato looked amazing. It's a Tomball must!
