This is the main restaurant located inside the lodge of the Stein Eriksen resort.  The breakfast buffet (which was included in the room charge) was very good.  There was a nice assortment of items every day which were all very good.  Coffee, tea, and juice are served to you by a waiter and are included with the breakfast.  If you... If you do not know about this restaurant, it is in the Stein Erickson Hotel which in and of itself is fantastic. The restaurant is huge and it has an outdoor area which seats separately and affords GREAT views of the Valley. Service is OUTSTANDING! You can purchase a la carte but it takes a little longer. On our day,... More

We had a group of four couple (8) meal, wine, tip, etc averaged $100 per head. Nice setting, mountain lodge. I had scallops for an appetizer that were excellent. Main course Waygu New York strip was over cooked. I ordered it medium rare and it was served with only the slightest hint of pink left. They ruined a perfectly good... More

I wanted to love this place, and overall it's not bad, but to me it comes off a little too much country club - getting a little long In the tooth. That said, I had the Elk because, well, how often can you order that? It was excellent - lean, tender, just the right amount of gamey flavor to let... More

Consider the typical food price on the mountain, this silver service restaurant in the Stein Eriksen Lodge is decent value as long as you have time to fully enjoy the meal. The lunch menu is limited but cover all the basis. The US$39 buffet is very extensive and all the food are of high standards. The dessert buffet is to... More

The entrance to the restaurant is in the lovely Stein Eriksen Lodge. The dining rooms are all beautiful, with windows that look out over the mountains. Our waiter was pleasant and very competent. There is an extensive wine list, as well as a cocktail menu. Our party of 4 agreed that the risotto appetizer was the best. The foie gras... More

We always have lunch in the Glitretind on our annual ski trip. The location is perfect, you ski right in. We decided to try the Sunday brunch last week, as we took the day off skiing. I usually don't do brunch, as there is way too much food....The brunch was excellent. We sampled a little bit of everything-seafood, salads, breakfast... More

Located within the gorgeous SteinEriksen Lodge, this restaurant has a fantastic brunch offering! Spendy, but so worth it! We ordered way too much! Should've just stopped with the small plates - artichokes were delicious - but the pastrami bites were out of this world!

Curated menu with a mixture of choices for a variety of tastes. Professional, efficient service. Comprehensive wine list. Our dishes were simply spectacular.

We returned for an annual visit to this restaurant and found it has maintained its high standards. it is hard to beat dining here at Stein's. The food preparation is very sophisticated and our lamb chop course was dynamite with layers of flavor in this almost tiered presentation. It was a wonderful course which could only have been made better... More
