I checked their Facebook page etc for info on their British grocery selection, and it was very misleading. They had pictures of a good selection of chocolates. We added this to our stop and were extremely disappointed. Not a Cadbury in sight!

We stopped in for lunch just knowing it was a fish and chips place. What a find! The food was fantastic. The service great. We ordered fish & chips and shrimp & chips with sides of coleslaw and pickled beets. While the fries (chips) were very good, the heroes of the dishes, the fish and shrimp were fantastic: the cook... The Fish and Chips are reliably tasty and traditional. However, the chicken pie was not. It was kind of mysterious and definitely not tasty.

I had lunch here with a friend. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you in a short time by the friendly staff. We had the fish and chips and a steak and potato pie. The fish was moist and tasty and the fries delicious. The meat pie consisted of finely cut up pieces of beef... More

Lil Britain is a little slice of meat pie with HP sauce. This little stop is friendly, quick, and well worth the pop over. Vinegar on the table for your chips and super clean.

I love Lil Britain! My favorite is the Fish and Chips which are actually French Fries. All handmade and delicious. Some of the best fries around and I'm a huge fry connoisseur! The location is easy to find. Small on the inside but on a nice day you could always take your food to go and eat outside somewhere. Parking... More

Ordered lunch to go from here on our visit, I'm so glad I did ! I got the fish and chips , and my husband got the bangers and mash . Both we're excellent ! The fish was perfect, and the gravy on my husbands meal was so good that I ended up stealing it for my " chips" .... More

After reading Trip Adviser reviews on this restaurant we decided to have lunch their before a play at the Oldcastle Theater. We both had the fish and chips and it was excellent. The place is small with about 8 tables and you order your food and they bring it out for you. I will definitely be back.

We were lucky enough to spend some time living in London, and so were surprised and pleased to find this quality of both bangers and mash and fish and chips available in Bennington. I also liked their mushy peas (if you're another member of the small group whose tastes run in that direction). They sold several types of imported British... More
