It has been many years since I dined at T.J. Buckley's and tonight's experience was all that I had expected and more. It was flawless. The food was superb, offering a splendid array of taste, texture and visual appeal. The presentation was attractive and clearly the work of a perfectionist. Suggested wines proved to be a great match... we even... More

TJ Buckley was recommended to us by a friend who raves about it. My husband and I had dinner there last night and now we rave about it. The restaurant is set in an old fashioned caboose-type diner, but serves very elegant dishes. It is small, just a few tables, and the owner and chef works alone at the stove,... More

My experience at T. J.Buckley's was on par as one of the best meals & experiences I've had. I was there for a birthday celebration with family and it was a perfect setting for that. We shared the 4 available appetizers and we tasted each other entrees. I loved the house salad with local greens & equisitely prepared shaved vegetables... More

Celebrating a few bdays in our party we met at Tj Buckleys. With the appearance of an old Diner, the inside was elegant and cozy. The waitress was amazing and so knowledgable of their menu. We sampled as much as we could. I cannot express the joy I felt. Elegant presentation with the most amazing pairing of flavor. The chicken... More

We love good food. We started checking out restaurants for our trip to VT ahead of time and this place popped. We made reservations two weeks ahead and almost didn't get in. This place is very "unassuming" from the outside and is incongruent with what you'll find on the inside and on the plate, so don't let that put you... More

Yes, it was not inexpensive. Yes, it took awhile. Nonetheless it was an incredible experience. One of the finest meals I have had...ever. Each course was perfection: the pate, hanger steak, scallops and salad all indescribably delish and artfully presented. The charming waitress did bring one incorrect dessert, offered to replace it, but overall it and it does deserve two... More

T> J. looks TIRED and ready to fall down. That's not unreasonable considering his age. But the springy little wait staff act like they couldn't care less, And the PRICES!!!!!!!! Where does he/ they think they are? this Brattleboro. DON'T go unless you have - lots! - of money to waste.

We love this restaurant so much we route our trips back to New England through Brattleboro, VT, in order to eat here. The chef/owner selects the best in season, local ingredients and changes his menu daily. You can sit in the small, restored street car and look into the kitchen and talk to the chef while he prepares your meal.... More

Excellent restaurant!!! We called last minute and were able to get a table for that night. The waitress was extremely professional and courteous. The food was fabulous! The atmosphere was charming. It is a very small restaurant but definitely worth trying to get a reservation. So small that you get to see the chef and staff make your food right... More
