It was a great stop for a nice salad, sandwich or soup. The town offers so much and this was a very good value. Small, crowded and noisy at lunch time but that even added to the charm.

Usually I start with the food, but this place is service first. Uber-friendly, helpful and accommodating (I was a bit short $US), the staff are patient and obviously love working there describing their food with passion. I had chili which was very competent -perhaps it could have used salt, my date had a hearty beef stew which was amazing (it... More

Stone Soup is a pleasant find; a small scale but diverse approach to healthy home cooked food. On your plate you can chose any amount of fresh and prepared salads with homemade dressings, greens, and about 12 different main fare entrees like vegetarian lasagna, collard greens (or kale), roasted roots, and Asian-inspired foods. They weigh your plate, you pay for... More

We came here on New Years eve as we couldn't get in anywhere else and it couldn't have turned out better. Wonderful people - nice atmosphere - great food. We had the African Nut Soup (not sure why I ordered it but actually turned out delicious) and they made me a hot sandwich with thinly sliced sietan and lightly pickled... More

We had lunch at this restaurant twice during our recent trip to Burlington. Nice fall decorations at the entrance that make you want to go in and it feels like Vermont. I liked everything about this restaurant including the excellent service. Although this isn't a vegetarian restaurant, they have an excellent vegetarian menu and many healthy options. We had soup... Saw this as I was driving round town and looked in to see what it was like , when ready we came back. It offers a choice of 4 soups (pearled to be all veggie ), then you can add half a sandwich for $10 ,they also have a salad bar (weighed by the pound) and a hot food bar... More

Our lunch was so satisfying and delicious. The butternut squash soup was smooth and so good. We left full but good full. I highly recommend this cozy restaurant.
