We ate here for New Year's Eve dinner. It has a beautiful lobby, a pub and a nice dinner selection. Kid friendly.

She had the soup and it was wonderful Pumpkin soup, I had a cup of French Onion soup which was very good, and came paired with a half BLT, also good, and with drinks the total was still under $30 including tip. Very friendly and efficient staff in a wonderful old building in the heart of beautiful Chester, VT.
My wife & I stopped in for lunch when we arrived for a weekend stay in Chester VT. Had a perfect table on the farmers porch to enjoy the sights on the common in Chester. Ordered a couple of ice cold beers which were refreshing after the two hour drive from home. We both ate light with boneless wings and... More
Went in later on a Saturday, the menu had been hit hard all day long and two of my first choices were hit completely, so as a third choice I got the Green Mountain burger. I ordered it rare and it was just what I ordered it. Great taste and sides. I had a head cold and wasn't hungry to... More
The menu has a good variety available and offers more than a basic burger or salad. The food was ok - better for some than for others, but nothing to write home about. The waitress was friendly and helpful and we had an enjoyable time.
Not particularly exciting menu, presentation, ambiance, or food. Pork loin was tough, the unfried potstickers soggy, Thai chicken over done, but mixed green salad was fresh with delicious pomegranate vinaigrette, and Mac and cheese was excellent. Three out of four "formal" dining choices were pricey, $30 or more. The "country inn" atmosphere does not warrant the "formal" description. Nice setting... More
Food was served promptly, was presented beautifully and tasted devine. Seated in the more casual room, this was unexpected.
We stopped for lunch on our way through. The restaurant was on the common and their dining porch looked inviting. The inn itself looked a little tired with some peeling paint here and there. There was a long wait for lunch. 45 minutes for a sandwich and a burger. A large delivery beer truck blocked our view of the quaint... More
Four of us met for conversation accompanied by lunch. Excellent choice, pleasant on their porch, friendly staff, good food. And we were not pushed at all so that the table could be turned over. Very slight criticism was that we had to ask for refills on our water and ice tea. We will do this again.
Good salads, sandwiches and lunch fare. Panini had a little too much mayo. Outside dining was nice on a cool day.
