Had dinner there on Saturday night... what a little jewel this place is. First of all you can't see it from the road, it's "hidden" as the name says. What an interesting place, lots to look at outside and in. Should be reviewed on food network, the meals were amazing. We all tried different things and everyone was very satisfied.... More

After a year long hiatus, we decided to go up to Hidden Country again to see if they were maintaining their excellence. They are. My prime rib was just to die for, delicious slow roasted and " cut it with a fork" tender. Done to med.rare perfection. Mashed potatoes and sweet corn were just as good. Don't forget to try... More

What fun, what service, and what great food! The owner of the restaurant sat and talked with us while we ate (in what seemed like his living room...I actually think it was!) It was like eating at your grandmother's house. There were other various rooms and then the main section of the restaurant (which seemed more like a restaurant atmosphere),... More

This was our first time here. Looked like someone's house as we drove up to it. Inside was bigger then expected. The menu had quite a bit to offer. We went with the prime rib with the salad bar. Prime rib was cooked to perfection. Good selection in salad bar. Was too stuffed to see what the desserts were like.... More

Went to lunch with friends at Hidden Country Restaurant, in Lowell, VT. This is one of the funkiest places I've ever been to. The restaurant is set in a broad valley with great views of the mountains in the distance and ponds, meadows and curious buildings in the foreground. The interior of the restaurant has an eclectic selection of antiques,... More

We will return. Missed a couple of years, but always look forward to a good meal. 😆. The soup & salad bar are delicious. Desserts are yummy!

We've come here over the years. Decent salad/soup bar. Prices have been creeping up, and the menu isn't all that impressive. At least it's open all year.

My wife and i consider ourselves as conaisseurs of good food. We live in Canada and are quite well served In terms of quality restaurants( Montreal, Sherbrooke, etc.). However, we,ve been to the Hidden Country a few times and the experience is well worth the 1hr-15 min. drive!! The prime rib is tender and moist, no matter what degree of... More

Have gone several times with always the same results. Really neat decorations but the meal is less than impressive. The soup and salad bar are good. The town surrounding the place is picture perfect.

My husband and I have eaten here many, many times. We moved away from the area, so it had been about 5 years since our most recent visit. On Sept. 28, 2013 we decided to make the long trip for old times sake. The food HAD always been great, especially the prime rib, which is their signature dish. This time, the... More
