If you're a meat-n-potatoes ..."sauce on the side" kind of diner, then don't waste your time. You don't have the guts for this Oasis. If you're the kind of diner who enjoys trying new things and are willing to put your fate in the hands of the chef....well then this is your place. We are always excited before going here... More

We decided to eat at the Downtown Grocery one night after skiing. I've been here before, and the food is always fantastic, and the service outstanding. We started with a drink t the bar -- where the bartender was very outgoing, and talked about where he lived, and how the restaurant ran. It was enlightening. Then we retired to the... More

Have eaten here many times since their opening and we are never disappointed and always amazed at their new and creative/quirky offerings. Some of the craziest things we've ever eaten have been here - Deep Fired Trout Bones! Yes it was exactly that and it was unbelievably awesome. Abby does a super convincing job of explaining not just the blackboard... More

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. Our party of 8 (4 young kids) thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was fantastic! It is clear that the chef puts a premium on organic and local ingredients, and there was a good mix of entrees. The food is not run-of-the-mill by any stretch, and we were all able to try something... More

Friends took me here - hard to get in during the season - but oh so worth it! menu written on chalkboard, fresh ingredients and diverse selection, plus such cool drinks. Had my first try of Shrimp & Grits here (before a later trip to Charleston where I had the southern version) and it was delicious. Cozy place, friendly staff,... More

Really friendly with amazing food served a course at a time and perfectly paced. We loved everything we ordered especially the garlic potatoes and flank steak and I just wish there had been a bit more steak!

Love the space, and the enthusiasm of the crew. And after a hard day of skiing, it really hit the spot. Complicated but very good mesclun salad and had the skate main. Very well cooked. My husband enjoyed the mahi mahi and the sorbets. Nice wine selection. Would definitely go there again.

Excellent food and great service that is friendly. The restaurant tends to be nosier than average though a little quieter if you sit up front. Also expensive.

Such tremendous food and spirits - haven't had anything we don't like yet. Not exactly kid friendly for your average kid, but my kids like it because they typically eat "grown up" food and not off of a kid menu.

We were in town for the Super bowl weekend and decided to head into town on Monday night. We got right in after a 5 minute wait . A very nice table by the window.
