First off, generally this place is amazing. Tonight, not so much. My wife placed an order over the phone from our place in Salisbury. She ordered soup and a BLT on flatbread for me. She was told 15 minutes until it was ready, they never took down a call back number. I drove the 13 minutes or so to there.... More

Green Peppers is not a smart looking place, with plain uncovered tables, but they serve good food at good prices. From our visit it seemed good for families, but as a mature couple we enjoyed our visit. We had a lovely friendly waitress and the food - lasagna and tortellini - was fine. There is a good choice whereby you... More

On a Monday nite, it appeared most restaurants in Middlebury close down...We drove around looking for something since the local restaurants and the Inn restaurant were closed and came upon this. It looked like a local place. The food was good portion, good basic diner type food. Pizza, burgers, salads etc. Nothing to rave about but good. The apple crisp... More

My girlfriend and I have lived in Middlebury for a little over a year. We have gotten pizza, maybe 7-8 times. We have made the comparison between Green Peppers and Nino's. There's no question... Green Pepper's is better.

I went here after trying out Nino's/Ramunto's pizza - whatever it's called now - mostly because I needed to try a different pizza place after that one failed to satisfy. And...well, this place was a lot better, for me. Seating was easy enough, which was surprising considering I always see them so busy when going by the window. Me and... More

We prefer non-chain pizza and this fit the bill. Pizza was really good as was the salad and dessert. Waitress was very attentive and helpful.

And great service. Perhaps a bit overpriced, but good wings, burgers and other sandwiches. A lot of people rave about the pizza, and it may be the best around here, but only okay when compared on a more "global" scale.

Don't let the outside fool you. Located in a mini-mall with a laundromat and barber shop, and with a Shaw's across the parking lot, Green Peppers doesn't look like much. But if you want great food at family-friendly prices, with an outstanding staff to boot, go inside. You'll be glad you did! My family's go-to here is always pizza and... More
