We love Indian food. And we've always loved this place as well. The food is always good and flavorful. The issue is the servings have been inconsistent lately. Sometimes we seem to get a very generous portion, with lots of sauce. Other times it's piddly, like they weren't make it to order but serving what was left in the pot.... More

This restaurant is tucked away a bit (down a tiny alley-like road) but we felt really lucky to have found it. GREAT food!

We opted for take-out, as we had business to attend to. Taste of India is excellent, filling beyond need and very tasty! You won't be disappointed.

The only Indian food restaurant in Middlebury. Not the greatest but certainly adequate. Food and service is good.

That's right, it is hidden in an alley (Bakery Lane) and in the basement of the building. But once inside it has fast service, delicious homecooked Indian food, and a nice variety to choose from. We sat near the windows that overlook the river which made the wait for the food seem very quick. The nan and dipping sauces was... More

It was good. Service was a bit slow but I might be one of the better Indian restaurants in Vermont. The nan was excellent, the curry a good litmus test was very good.

We both like Indian food and eat at Indian restaurants all over the country. We had a very mediocre meal here some years ago and had not been back. We decided to give it another try. The service wasn't friendly, which we don't demand. However, the server expected us to do part of what I expected was her duties -... More

We always have a great experience going here. The service is very fast and the food is so good. We've also done the Sunday buffets and they are great! Try the mango lassi!

We went here after not being able to get into Two Brothers on a Saturday night. We had heard about Taste of India but we own from NJ where the Indian restaurants are so plentiful, only the best survive. This place might not do too well in Edison, NJ, but it was certainly of high quality and above average. The... More

They have an extensive menu both for lunch and dinner. Lunch specials are a nice size - not too huge. Naan here is great and there is a wide selection. Service is always great. The lamb vindaloo is one of my favorites and the Aloo Saag and they make a mean Chai tea. It's not quite at that 5 star... More
