I loved this restaurant. You drive up and order from your car. The people are super nice and the food is worthwhile. There are window trays for your car to eat from. Of course you have to order a root beer float! A definite revisit spot

This is a great roadside stop for a quick meal or just the float. they still have "carhops" that place a tray on your car window and take your order. All the usual highway menu items are available with fast, friendly service.

This is such a beautiful spot to stop for a root beer! A and W's are very rare this day and time. The root beer was very good and the view of the mountains is lovely! Definitely worth a stop!

Not the best meal I've ever had... It was cheap and quick but could have been better, and the whining waitresses did not do anything to improve the meal.

Fast and friendly service. Good food and ice cream. That's the place you are looking for if you are a little hungry. No need to go out the car but if you want, there are a few pick nick tables to eat. We where lucky because when we left we saw it's only open for 8 days more this season.

The food is average but the experience isn't. If you want a time capsule of the 1950s and happy days it's right here in Middlebury. I recommend the root beer floats. They can be a full meal.

This was my first time at an A&W and it was what I expected. The food was good (I had a burger and root beer float) and service friendly and fast. I had been to Sonic’s previously, it is along the same lines, but more homey, not commercialized. It would definitely be more convenient if they accepted credit cards. I... More

We stopped for only one thing, that memorable Rootbeer Float in that large, heavy, chilled mug. Boy did this bring back memories of child-hood. Two were brought quickly to our car and the tray set right on the partially open window. DELICIOUS. Service was excellent. They even come to your car if you are not under the cover or are... More

Pretty good place, overall. The servers were a bit slow, but then again, they had time to be with the fact that everyone had their orders cooked as they were given. Food was good quality, this year.

Coming to A & W brings back memories of my childhood. The Root Beer Floats are a special treat. I always get the Papa Burger Basket. It's an excellent value.
