I came alone to this restaurant while my son was staying the night at Middlebury College for the night. They gave me a nice table and treated me so well. I just wanted a steak and a salad bar and that is what I got. They have this unique room with a big salad bar with also bread, cheese, peel... More

Met my adopted daughter & her boyfriend for a bite to eat. What a wonderful find nestled off main street USA. A beautiful decor and themed sections to eat in and the antiques were like stepping back in history. Salad bar and entrees reasonable priced, staff nice and food well worth the trip.

Very nice atmosphere, the manager seams to be very personable and talks to everyone who comes in. I had the prime rib it was worth every penny!

Can't beat 40% off apps till 6:30, a great staff and great drink specials! The atmosphere is fun and my friends and I love the staff and owner, Paris. I love the calamari, nachos, and just about anything else on the menu. The salad bar has a great selection of food too!

Was in Middlebury this weekend for skiing. Stopped at the Woodchuck Cider and asked for places to eat. They suggested Fire & Ice. We were so amazed of the interior deco of so many outdoors activity trinkets. From Boats, bears, moose, etc. They said the salad bar was great so I ordered it with my broiled scallops with rice. You... More

Three of us walked in at 430p for an early dinner. We had just traveled 45 miles with the temperature of 8. There were less than a dozen cars in the parking lot and the Moose bar area had maybe a dozen people. The man at the desk (not the owner) greeted us very nice and asked asked how many.... More

I pretty much visit this restaurant every trip to Middlebury, about 15 times now. The last was in January 2017. The service is always great. The atmosphere in this restaurant is outstanding. The salad bar, cheese and bread are excellent. This is not gourmet dining. It is the combination of food, service and atmosphere that give this restaurant a 5... More

My husband and I ate here for dinner, and were generally unimpressed. The best part is the salad bar, which is as extensive as everyone says, and if you're in it for the salad bar, I guess you'll be pretty contented. Otherwise I'd say go someplace else. The food is very mediocre, and on the pricey side. I'm not sure... More

Ate here twice this week for business. Our team had up and down experiences. The salad bar and beer choices are both good. The main food was variable. I had some delicious broiled scallops one evening, though the accompanying rice was mushy and bland. The second time I had medium rare prime rib that looked great, but was dried out... More
