I really enjoyed my meal here. My husband on the other hand felt it was over-priced. The portions are reasonable but not big. A little stuffy. But I would eat here again

First, I have to say that I love the Inn & Shelburne Farms. However, four of us had a birthday dinner last Sunday that did not meet our expectations for this restaurant. Sunday evenings are advertised as a "prix-fixe menu which includes your choice of four entrées, as well as set sides, a family-style salad, and a delicious dessert. Sunday... More

Cocktails and wine offerings are top shelf and reasonably priced. Sitting outside in Adirondack chairs, watching the sunset over Lake Champlain is a special treat waiting for your dinner reservation. Dinner - best resotto we have ever had (5 grain with local vegetables); excellent lamb. Perfectly cooked and presented. Surroundings and food and service were perfect.

We made reservations (8:15 on a Wednesday night) a couple months in advance and glad we did. This was a first trip to Vermont. We made an early preview visit to the property which was nice since there was still daylight, don't miss the grounds! The place is gorgeous on the lake and nice to have a drink before dinner.... Our dinner at Shelburne Farms was very, very special. The food was luscious. My wife started with the "Feast of the Fields", all grown in the farm's market garden. There fresh carrots, pickled parsnips, steamed onions, and so much more, elegantly laid out on a sharable board, with relishes and aioli. Cauliflower atop a smear farmer's cheese (scrumptious combination, both... More

Food was excellent; the selection was somewhat limited but adequate. The waiter did a great job and was attentive. We dined on the terrace and the view of the surroundings, especially the lake, was super.

The Inn is beautifully maintained and packed with history. The service at dinner was excellent. The menu was fashioned as farm-to-table grown fine dining. The chef choice to offer trios and market plates delivered great presentation, but flavor was lacking with several items; hope the menu could become a bit simpler more focused on his specialties.

This is a magnificent property overlooking Lake Champlain. We had brunch, sat outdoors. The pancakes were amazing as were the eggs benedict, Tasty Bloody Mary also.

Excellent locavore menu - from the farm raised beef, lamb and chicken - organically grown vegetables and, of course, the cheese made at the Dairy - service was pleasant and attentive - the dining room and bar elegant and authentic late 18th early 19th century English - if you are able to reserve an outdoor table to catch the sunset... We made reservation for dinner one night, and breakfast another day, and we so pleased with both. At dinner, even though we had a reservation there were no tables on the terrace, so, after a bit of a debate with the hostess (she had wanted to seat us in the back of the dinning room)we were given a table right...
