Stopped in here for lunch with a large group of adults and kids and they had no problem accommodating us. The place is actually pretty large inside and has a downstairs as well with plenty of seating. A lot of the places in this town get pretty packed but this place was moderately crowded. The menu is a collection of... More
The restaurant next door had an hour wait, and I've never been to Arvads so we gave it a shot for what I think is a typical dinner time of 7:00pm. We ordered drinks and just sat and talked and we let our server know we were going to chat first, then order more drinks and dinner. Our server was... More
My fav coworker and I got out of an all day meeting 1.5 hrs early so we headed straight to Arvads. The lunch crowd was leaving and they were changing over for dinner. They were still happy to see us and gave great service. Our server asked a bunch of helpful questions to help me find the perfect cocktail. Then... More
We recently had lunch at Arvads, on our way touring the area. The interior is inviting and has a bit of a funky Vermont vibe. Service was friendly and efficient.. There is a nice variety of well done sandwiches, salads, soups, and larger plates, as well as multiple beers on tap and a full bar. Though this was winter, we... More
Attentive staff, pleasant selection of local foods, good selection of local beers from local breweries and a nice wine list. Small cozy bar. Parking in Waterbury, Vermont, is a problem that afflicts all local businesses, but don't let that deter you from enjoying Arvads.
Recommended to us by the owners of Grunberg Haus, we had a great meal on a Saturday night without much wait. Busy place, appreciated that they had solid gluten free options (burger buns, nachos, dedicated fryer for french fries) so the whole crew could eat here. They even have their own root beer.
Its completely surprising to me that with all the really cool ways that people have now of making non-meat burgers, that this place could have come up with such a miserable mess. One out of ten....at best. Sorry.
