This place was packed when we visited, and seems to a well-rated local restaurant. Our hopes were high, but only to bet let down. The staff seem to have someone cracking a whip behind them, based on the nervous energy and frenetic way they raced around. Attention to detail was lacking as well as accountability (our wine glasses were warm,... More

Good food in a rustic post and beam restaurant. Good music and friendly staff. Quick service to boot!

It was very expensive, good but not $49 per plate good. They said they'd have regular plus tavern menu but only had 5 choices for dinner.

My wife and I ate here over the Christmas holiday of 2016. We walked in without a reservation and waited about 35 minutes for a table. We both got the duck, which was a very large portion. The service was great.

Stopped in for drinks and food with friends after skiing. Owner has all these rules about no cell phone and keeping your voice low. This is the worst place to go. Needs a new owner.

The night we had dinner at the 1846 Tavern and Restaurant was a busy one there. We did not have reservations for 6 people, but they worked us in after a short wait and the staff were all very friendly. The menu was surprisingly diverse and had a good selection of very interesting dishes. Everyone at in our party really... More

Got into Mount Snow earlier than expected, before the snowstorm. Saw 1856 Tavern on our way up Rte 100 and had to check it out. We were extremely happy that we did. The best scallops EVER! And amazing salmon. With a fantastic Zinfandel that just brought it all together. Service was good and beer choice was broad as well. Would... More
