We have eaten here on several occasions, and it has always been delicious. Tonight something was off. I started with soup, it was only lukewarm. Then when dinner came, it too was only barely warm. The drunken noodles were "sticky" from being cool. The Curry Coconut Shrimp, while tasting delicious, was not hot. We were very disappointed tonight.

Delicious Thai food! Chef beat Bobby Flay in contest. Can specify level of spice in dishes. Good portions.

This is a neighborhood restaurant that tastes and looks like it should be in Washington DC. Everything is fresh and tasty! You can tell the server how hot you want your dish. They have specials every day and they are open for lunch. We love to have this wonderful restaurant nearby!

While at an event at the expo center, we came here for lunch. We were there early afternoon. Prices were reasonable. I was a little nervous when we walked in and the "fishy" smell hits you in the face. However, the food was excellent. No MSG. Two entire pages of vegetarian options (which is a nice surprise, I usually get... More

If you've been to other Thai restaurants in the area, and then eat at Thai Basil, you will quickly discover that the cuisine here rises above the rest. Small and unassuming on the outside, tucked in a far corner of a strip mall on Rt. 50, the cooking here is top notch. You will notice hints of flavor that were... More

An extensive menu. There are four levels of spicey. American = 1 chili pepper and that had a good kick to it. Try the shrimp curry with pineapple. Excellent!

We stopped by for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We love Thai food and this was the best restaurant we have found in the DC area. Prices were reasonable and food came out extremely fast. We tried the pad Thai (delicious with some heat) and the crispy duck (amazing) and the coconut curry. We will definitely drive the 40 mins... More

This is a little strip-mall place, but the food was interesting and good, and the service was very warm and friendly.

I've been to Thai Basil many times and it's consistently good. It's a good location for a business lunch as the service is super quick. The food is very good and the owner obviously takes pride in consistency.

If you love Thai food, this is the spot. Tasty, fresh food. Great service. Budget friendly menu. Can catch the news or a sporting event on the big screen tv.
