If you're looking to sit around waiting for your food, this is the place to go. It's 10:00 on a Monday morning and we are one of three tables seated. The young, terribly inexperienced waiter had to be asked twice for absolutely everything - coffee, juice, milk, a spoon. When our food was finally cooked, it sat under a heat... More

We came in just before closing and started with the coffee cakes - OK, nothing great. French toast and eggs with biscuits were top notch. Monte Cristo was good but a bit too cheesy.

We are local to Charlottesville and have eaten at every greasy spoon for brunch. There is NO COMPARISON to Pigeon Hole. This quiet little spot along Elliewood Ave on the UVA Corner is the perfect breakfast/brunch location. It was a warm morning for February so we were able to eat outdoors. Great little patio for enjoying a good cup of... More

TINY spot for breakfast. It was cold so we didn't want to eat outside. We ended up sitting at the small counter they have. Not sure if people normally eat there...the waitresses were all nice, the food really delicious. Many different options on the menu. We were sitting right by the door so the constant opening and closing of the... More

The service was very friendly but slow. People who were obviously locals and regulars were served much faster than we were. We ate outside on their small patio space. Coffee was weak but the food was good.

We had a delicious brunch and they seated us faster than I thought given the line to get in. Quaint little house.

Sunday brunch. Three people with very different ideas of what they wanted. Mama bear had a spinach salad with iced tea, papa bear had huevos rancheros, baby bear had a small side of mac 'n' cheese. Spinach salad had too many candied cranberries, was otherwise fine. Huevos had EXTREME amounts of cheese. The mac was juuuust right. The menu was... More

Wonderful place on Ellewood. Wonderful menu and the grits and red eye gravy are to die for. Staff is very friendly.

The staff was friendly, the environment was adorable, and the food was so yummy! A perfect little breakfast place to go solo or with friends. The scrambled eggs and sausage were good, but everyone around me loved what they had too!

This was the first time we didn't have to wait in line for a table. Maybe because 9:30 am on a Sunday is too early the college students? Whatever the reason, it was nice to be able to sit outside. Server was super personable and efficient and the food is always good and better than any b'fast chain restaurant.
