My girlfriend and I had dinner at Continental Divide a week or so ago. As others can attest, their food is really, really good. Both of us had the Santa Fe Enchiladas ($11.25) which came with black beans and rice and a pumpkin muffin. The portion size is ample, and the black beans and rice add to that. We thought... More

While staying at a nearby hotel, we decided we want a Mexican dinner. Desk clerk recommended this place. Not even a sign that we could see. Big neon lighter thing in the window that read "GET ON IN HERE!" We went in, not knowing what to expect, and were glad we did! Very clean. Nachos were delicious. So were the... More

What a great place. Incredible selection of margaritas and great food. Margaritas are based on your choice of tequila and your choice of mixers. We had the special which that night was house tequila with the premium mixers. They were excellent. I had a cup of the chili as a starter. I was the best restaurant chili I have had... More

Nice little spot on West Main Street in C'ville. Great Tex/Mex with interesting menu. Great margaritas also. Small with only 8 or 9 booths and one large table in the front; so, go early or be prepared to wait. I had the carnitas and they were very tasty and served with rice and black beans.

Red Hot Blues and a Margarita and you will be happy! Just saying! Everything here is great -- it's small, crowded and noisy but wonderful! Be prepared to wait!

I'm a local and this is one of the long-standing gems in what has become a foodie town. It's where I go for a great margarita, and a great plate of Mexican food that has a southwestern influence (and a few dishes have a hint of Asian fusion .. more later). Their motto is "Too Small, Too Noisy, Too Crowded,... More

We visited Continental Divide last night for the first time in many years and it was as good as ever. Good margaritas and nachos, excellent enchiladas and carnitas, we were not disappointed. It's a pretty small restaurant and I don't think they take reservations so make plans accordingly.

Continental Divide is known for great Mexican, but the margaritas are the best in Charlottesville. They do not take reservations though, so it's hard to get in on busy nights.

Went on first night in town. Loved the nacho appetizer. The tuna dinner was delicious, as were the enchiladas. Tiny restaurant with great ambience and employees. Highly recommend.

Our friends recommended this restaurant. The menu is very very limited. We are picky eaters, so we looked at the menu and were horrified! Our waitress was very good at explaining our questions and was very patient! We ended up getting the tacos and fajitas. Everything was so good and nothing was spicy! I HATE SPICY! This place was great!... More
