Smokey's is a nice addition to the island scene, fun for the kids and the NASA people seemed to be enjoying it on their day off too! We were lured in by the bouncy house and the kids enjoyed playing tetherball, beach ring games etc. in a little sandy area out back. They have fries and the blueberry lemonade is... More

Growing up, my family and I went to Chincoteague every summer. We went this past September for the first time in over ten years. We noticed some changes but they were mostly for the better, especially the food scene. Smokey's is one of those places that I consider a change for the island, but one for the better. The Pit... For years Woody's Beach Barbecue was the only game in town for barbecue on the beach road in Chincoteague. Smokey's has been around for a couple of years, and it wasn't until a recent trip that we decided to give it a try. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and at almost $10, was greatly disappointed. A bun with a... More

First the blueberry lemonade maybe the most important thing on the menu. The crabby burger was outstanding. The hammer itself was okay but the beef brisket and the crab dip on top of that was what was outstanding. The crabby fries were a mixed review. Here the crab dip didn't work as well as we expected. We have had more... More

From the moment we walked up to this food trailer we were hooked. The menu is crazed with mouthwatering choices of every imaginable burger and BBQ sandwich. For a couple of newbies to Chincoteague, we were a bit overwhelmed. No fear! The young woman behind the counter gave us suggestions for the hungry and the not-so hungry. We took her... More

I have enjoyed their barbecue so we decided to try a burger there. It was a very good burger: fresh meat, nice toppings and bun. Lesson learned: be sure to tell them how you want it cooked. I did not and it was a little well done for my "medium rare" taste. I will specify the next time! For $9.00,... More

I really have enjoyed eating Smokey's food and drinking from the lemonade stand! The whole family was happy!

We've tried both BBQ places and we think Smokey's by far is the best. The meat is lean with no fat and they have several delicious BBQ sauces to choose. The french fries and slaw were also as good as it gets. I rated Smokey's when we vacationed here two years ago and it is still as good as I... More

We ended up at Smokey's after going to look at the menu for Woody's BBQ. Woody's served 98% pork items, so anyone wishing to have some chicken choices or beef choices were out of luck. I don't eat pork, so we looked for an alternative and found it in Smokey's BBQ. The first meal we had a Brisket Sandwich which... More

We had dinner there last night and the pulled pork is amazing! Staff was very friendly and loved the play area with the bouncy house for the kids. Will definitely be back!!
