We had not been here in awhile and the servers have changed, portions are smaller and food not quite the same quality. Disappointing since this was always our go to local Chinese place. Hope it improves soon.

Located on Main Street of Fairfax city, featuring one of the most authentic and delicious Chinese foods. I am a big fan of Chinese food so I often pay my visit to china star. My order included crispy chow min and fried rice and they were delicious. Prices are affordable. Customer service is usually nice but last time I went... More

Good selection to suit all tastes. Decent Chinese fare at reasonable prices. The beef with broccoli & chicken with black bean sauce are always in our order.

The is a great restaurant for authentic Sichuan food. We had the ma po to fu, gong bao ji ding (with peanuts), dan dan noodles, fish and silken bean curd in chili sauce and each dish was perfect. Maybe the pu pu platters is ordinary, but you should not order that at this place. The ma po tofu used leeks... More

First time ordering delivery from this restaurant. It took over an hour for the food to arrive and I live only a couple of miles away. The food was good and I would order in the future.

We called Yen Cheng for delivery, they didn't mention that they bought the phone #. They confusingly took our order, replaced it with what ever they felt like, cheaper versions, charged for the Chef Specialties but substituted for regular menu items , such as Pork with Red Chilies for 12.99 substituted with a lousy version of Double Cooked Pork which cost... We hadn't been to China Star for a couple of years. But it can be hard to find a restaurant open after 10 pm in the burbs, and we landed here. They were happy to see us at 10 pm n a Saturday (they close at 10:30, and another couple came much closer to closing time and was seated). Our... More

They said they would give 2 free soda with a twenty dollar order. I'd ordered some bottled water and didn't notice I hadn't gotten the free sodas until I'd checked my bag. upon calling them they said they would give me 2 more free sodas on my next order. For those ordering if you spend over 20.00 make sure your... More

We ate there a couple of times and didn't like the food either time. Our daughter went independently from us, and she shared our view. The food in this restaurant just isn't tasty. As an example, their carrots are cut in cubes. I much prefer the shoestring style of carrots in my Chinese food.
