I love Moby Dick. I visit one in DC often. This is my first time at this one, in Fairfax. My favorite is the lamb kabob. While the food was fresh and came relatively quick, the meat was a bit tough, with a few pieces burned on the edges, and it lacked seasoning. The yogurt sauce was fresh and taste... More

This restaurant is amazing. I have eaten in, but usually get take out. Their food, for 4, with extra hummus and pita, runs around $40. I love their pita bread. They make it fresh. It is huge, and I always order extra so I can eat hummus the next day. I really enjoy their combo III, which is lamb and... More

While shopping in the area we stopped in for lunch on a busy Saturday. The restaurant was packed and stayed busy our entire stay, but the service was really good. The lady who helped us explained the menu quite nicely, since this was our first visit to a Moby Dick, we weren't familiar with their menu. We ordered the family... More

I've been eating at Moby Dick for 25 years and I love their food. We usually grab carry out from the Bethesda store and I've never been disappointed. Would give them a five star rating every time. This evening while in Fairfax I decided to have a quick bite at this store. Definitely not the same. It wasn't bad but... More

Eaten here many times and taken out also. Very casual place to grab kabobs. Usually stay with the boneless chicken breast. It is fairly cheap, like most of the items on the menu. The chicken is marinated well. The flavor is deep inside the meat. The rice is very good, not oily as other places. They give more food (salad,... More

Had lunch there with my family while shopping during the weekend. Shared Kabob-E Chenjeh and Kabob-E Joojeh with my wife, while my daughter ate a hamburger from the neighboring Five Guys (her loss). The atmosphere is not great, and you eat with plastic utensils from a paper plate. But the food is really good and by no means fast-food. The... More

We go here all the time. Their food is fantastic. The lamb kabobs are so very tasty. The butter on the rice makes you want to eat every last grain. Everything is delicious there. I have never been disappointed.

Amazing kebabs. I had the chicken kebabs and will definitely go back. They don't always tell the customer that you can have half rice and half salad. My son was not asked/told so ended up with a lot of rice which was wasted.

The lamb and chicken kabobs are my favorites here, though the ground beef is good too. It's a good portion (tons of rice) and you won't go away hungry. The bread and yogurt cucumber sauce are delicious. It's a nice casual place to go have a meal or take away.
