We stopped at this winery on our road trip, and it was such a pleasant break from driving! It is a beautiful place, that on Sundays has outdoor seating and music playing. We took a tasting of their delicious wines, and then sat outside with...More

I ordered hummus plate at the hut today and it was horrible. The consistency was bumpy with whole chick peas and that's all it was half ground chick peas with no lemon, seasoning. It was inedible and I threw it away. Wine was great and...More

We have been to Chateau Morrisette a number of times over the years. I must say that I have found the visits to either be fabulous or rather disappointing. Last evenings dinner was unfortunately one of those. They were not very busy. We were seated...More

The wine and winery are nice, but my boyfriend and I had dinner outside on the balcony and that was fantastic! One of the best restaurant views in the country, and the pepper-crusted steak was THE BEST my boyfriend has ever had! The service (our...More

One of the nice's places to eat in the area. The wine is good. Call for reservation, hours, and events. They also manage to keep it cool on the hot summer days.

Thanks for spending time with us and sharing your review. Folks can also reserve and check our current hours and upcoming events on our website. The mountain air often keeps us 10F cooler than surrounding lowlands. We hope you can join us again soon.

I wrote a review on the winery and the restaurant together. To summarize, the hostess was rude and did not honor our reservation. The food was good. Our waiter left us without an explanation, but the waitress who served us did a great job.

We met friends from NC at Chateau Morrisette last night for supper. We drove an hour and they drove nearly two hours to get there. We have had slow service there before, but this was beyond slow. Our waiter was sullen, not outright nasty, but...More

Perfect spot to enjoy lunch and a glass of wine outside. The scenery is wonderful, and the grounds lovely. A trip to the winery afterwards is a nice way to spend the afternoon if you have never been.

Description
Chateau Morrisette offers fine dining in a casual setting. Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia, Chateau Morrisette sits at 3500 feet with spectacular views of the valley below. Chef Cooper Brunk creates authentic Appalachian-French fusion cuisine designed to pair with the wide assortment of wines produced in our cellar. Guest favorites include Our Dog Blue paired with Bacon-wrapped Shrimp with Grits, herb crusted sirloin with Petit Verdot, lamb paired with Chambourcin, and our Chateau Filet paired with Merlot. Vegetarians enjoy a variety of dishes as well. With two estate gardens, Chateau Morrisette provides seasonal offerings to insure quality and freshness. Guest may dine by the fire in the colder months or outside on our terrace in the warmer months. And of course, a visit to Chateau Morrisette is not complete without a stop in our Tasting Room for a sampling of our wines and a little shopping for unique gifts and accessories.
