We always visit the Chop House and meet friends when we are staying or passing through Harrisonburg, VA. It's in a renovated historic building, which we appreciate and like to support places who preserve pieces of history. When we go, we actually gather in the...More

I had the duck - somewhat tasty but VERY tough. My lady had some sort of cauliflower dish that was totally disappointing. The sides though were very good. Also a decent wine selection. In summary, just a bit too pricey for average food.

This place was good fancy but food was a bit pricey. I would say they should make a bigger selection on the menu.

Hello. I would not bring small children. It is a quiet and elegant ambiance. I would bring the kiddies to Bella Luna instead.

If you don't mind sitting in the bar area you should be fine. If you want a real table in the proper restaurant, I'd make a reservation.

It was Easter Sunday when we went but it is mostly a casual restaurant. Patrons were dressed up after church so our experience was different. I really like this place!
