Stayed next door at the Fairfield inn and suites and needed something to eat late after a long drive. Walked over to this place and was pleasantly surprised. If you visit El Nopal you have the chance of an excellent visit or a completely disappointing visit. Today the food was excellent service was great and overall the visit was great. That is not always the case. I keep coming back.
Skip the margaritas. I got the lime margarita, which I thought would be a traditional margarita. Instead it came out a weird lime color, no taste of real lime, and quite weak. Food is at best ok -- not awful, but not good.
I have eaten here more then a dozen times, used to be a good Mexican restaurant. Now you'd do better going to Taco Bell.
