We stopped at Steamers on the way home (from Williamsburg to Baltimore) for lunch. Were seated and waited on immediately. Drinks came quickly, and the food was not far behind. The crab chowder was excellent, and a bowl is HUGE! My friend couldn't even eat the salad she order (soup and salad) after the bowl of chowder. My mahi mahi... More

Food has not been very good last few times there. The management is to blame in my opinion.Shrimp are always horrible. Service is just ok. People are friendly enough, they are slow waiting on you.

The waittress and the decor was great but the food was horrible. The decor reminds me of Key West but the food was not even close. I would not visit again.

Steamers was recommended to my by my hotel, as I was in the mood for seafood. The waitress greeted me with an order of hush puppies, which were over-cooked and [in my opinion] missing a bit of tang for flavor. I ordered the special of the day "1 pound steamed snow crab legs", and an order of triple-bang shrimp for... More

Don't eat here. The cook smokes in the kitchen. I'm not real fond of ashes in my food. As the manager was also smoking, he really didn't care about our concerns. The food and service was mediocre at best. Much better seafood can be found close by in Colonial Beach and Port Royal.

Sunday Night Football, $2 beers, crab-legs and shrimp hit the spot! The place needs more people, and has the room to handle it. Definitely would plan on meeting people here to watch all the football games. Bucket of clams went down way to fast. Order a Barnacle Bob steamer pot. Horse Radish on the side was outstanding. More clams, legs... More

We stopped for lunch and thought we'd try this place vs. the one we usually visit next door! We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Our server showed-up with a basket of warm hushpuppies and butter. answered a few questions, mentioned the daily specials and took our drink order. The food arrived quickly for lunch hour and was very tasty.... More

The Island Grill was sort of odd to me, decorated like a tin walled palapa shack, island music, steel drums all in the heart of Tidewater Virginia. My visit was OK, my wife ordered a hamburger which was so so according to her, she loved the onion rings. I ordered Barnacle Bob's Steamed Pot, clams, shrimp, oysters, and snow crab... More

This is a seafood restaurant with mediocre food. Nothing really great about this restaurant. The best thing to get I'd the crab legs. The food is not worth the price.
