Excellent local fish, steaks and local wines. Outside seating available in the summer. Wait staff do not always speak English, but the hotel manager does. Service was a little slow on our last visit.

Great little hotel and restaurant. Friendly service - menu in French, English, and German. Staff found someone to help in English when they realized some of our party did not speak German or French. Food was lovely and very nicely presented.

We had not been to Au Cygne in many years and wanted to reacquaint ourselves with the kitchen. Our party of 4 was given a table in the room to the back of the restaurant which I remembered being preferred tot he front room with the entrance and bar but for some reason, the front room seemed more appealing perhaps... Wissembourg is a pleasant drive from the Kaiserslautern area. Today we had a wonderful lunch--escargot in tiny blini pancakes, shrimp and scallops perfectly done, steak with interesting and fresh vegetable sides and green and white asparagus salad. I gave this restaurant a five star rating because it is the classic restaurant experience for a French country inn. The dark wood... More

We came here by chance as we were staying in the area and Wissembourg is supposed to be pretty. It is and a visit ot Cygne just makes it all the better! We came for Sunday lunch and were lucky to get the very last table at 12.15 which is always a good sign. The place was full of locals,... More

Nice hotel in the center of Wissembourgh. Simple room with bath. The breakfast was ok . But more than 100 Euros, thats to much. In Colmar, even in Strassburg we paid less.

I was in Wissembourg for a couple of days, and two friends and I went out for dinner. I didn't expect much as the restaurant was in a hotel, but I was wrong. I started with the house-made foie gras which was very good. We were all served an amuse-bouche, and a palete cleanser between courses. I love free bonus... More

Good restaurant meals in western Europe are rarely cheap but our evening meal at Hostellerie Au Cygne was quite reasonably priced and we really enjoyed our meals. Staff did not speak English well but were nonetheless helpful. Our asparagus salad and wild boar stew were very tasty and decent sized meals as well.

I have stayed several times before in Wissembourg, although there are several good restaurants there, Au Cygne must be one of the very best. I had the 4 course menu which was truly excellent. The wine selections to go with the courses were also of high standard. A most memorable meal in a very pleasant restaurant with professional staff. I... More
