Very typical Japanese hibachi. Slightly slow tonight 2hrs to get through. Chef was skilled and entertaining but had timing issues as everyone was done before we got the grilled veggies. If you've never eaten at one of these go and if you have don't expect anything new or different.

Do not go here if you are in a hurry and rushed. It's good for sharing a special datewith someone you want to spend some special time with. The staff is attentive and delightful as they prepare your food before your eyes. The food is cooked to perfection; as they engage you in the process. This trip I finally caught a... More

We ordered a variety of sushi, sashimi, and hot foods. From the $7 eel roll (6 pieces) to the $20 galbi dish to the $55 two-person sashimi boat, the food was caloric but not flavorful. The prices must be due to the high rent for the location. If you want good sushi or Korean good, go somewhere else. This was... More

A group from work ate lunch together at one of the hibachi grill tables. The problem with the hibachi grill is not that the food is not good or poorly prepared, but that the order in which it is prepared guarantees that much of the food will be cold before all of the meal is cooked. The fried rice is... More

This place has a Maki Roll A and a Maki Roll B, both combination plates offering an assortment of sushi selections. Since we come in as a family, this is always a nice option for us to all share. One appetizer we get every single time is the Sushi Taco, a small tray of delightful and delicious little pieces of... More

This is hands down one of the best sushi places ever! The sushi is fresh, made very well, and their homemade soy sauce recipe is my favorite. The prices are a tad more expensive than your everyday run of the mill sushi restaurant, but I would think anyone would be willing to pay a bit more for the much better... More

We ate here on a whim one night. We ordered the gyoza, Agedashi tofu, teriyaki duo and the crispy duck. I was hesitant to get the crispy duck because it was pricey and I'm not a huge fan of port which was used in the sauce. However, my love of duck won out and I ordered it. They asked how... More

Now with three locations In Newport News,Hampton, and our newest Richmond! We are proud of our staff and chefs for all they work towards requires extensive experience, extraordinary skill, and respect for the spirit of traditional Japanese cuisine. Encounters with seasonal ingredients stimulate our senses and inspire us to craft exquisite works of art for your plate. It is our daily delight to serve you, your family, and friends simple, elegant, beautiful Japanese works. When we opened our Newport News restaurant in City Center it was to continue in the tradition Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar with a nod to the updated look you might find in an upscale metropolitan restaurant. We also opened our doors in the Hampton area, located in Peninsula town center and offer a more eclectic contemporary non hibachi dine in grill and sushi bar experience. I hope we can continue to grow and share our wonderful experiences and passion with you.
