Had dinner here on a Friday night. The starters and pasta dishes were excellent but the meat dishes had too much meat and not enough vegetables/salad. Service was generally very good, but we struggled to get them to realise that they had left a bottle of wine off the bill. It's good fun watching a very accomplished chef and his... More

We have been here a week with our two adult sons, and despite having several great menu items in Martines Franca, Taranto, punta Cesareo, and Cisternino, this meal in Alberobello has been the best in terms of every single dish that everyone of us had was spectacular. This restaurant only seats 22 and the kitchen is open concept to the... More

Only 8 or so tables in a beautiful little (but very traditional looking and feeling) basement in the heart of Alberobello. The kitchen is open to the small dining room and it is a pleasure to watch Chef Francesco and his small brigade working their magic. Reasonably priced, excellent food, all prepared fresh right in front of you!

We enjoyed to discover a typical menu. Staff are very nice. The restaurant is almost full so it is important to book for a table

Small restaurant in the center of town. We were are able to watch the chef making the food. The service and food were outstanding. If going to Alberobello - book in advance.

Had dinner here 2 of the 4 nites we were in Aberobello – it was that good. Would have eaten here a 3rd nite, but they were closed. Exceptional food with generous portions. The chef cooks literally in the dining room and so it was quite entertaining to watch a true professional at work. When we were there, he had... More

The La Cantina is a very small restaurant and booking is essential. However it is very overrated, whilst the menu selection is slightly better than many in Puglia where lamb and veal or horse along with pasta is offered, it is not a huge choice, we did not enjoy the experience. The lamb ordered was a long scraggy bit of... More

This restaurant is perfect in every way! My partner and I went on a day trip to Alberobello and randomly walked into this little piece of heaven. Outside it doesn't look like much but once you walk downstairs it's amazing! A small dining room that feels like you're sitting in a family's kitchen. Service staff were very friendly and welcoming... More

The restaurant is quite small and we were lucky to nab the last table as we turned up without a reservation. The food was very good, typical local dishes, the atmosphere was friendly and the kitchen is open so you can see the chef cooking. A very enjoyable meal and evening.
