After have been visiting Burri Foundation, we had dinner in this nice and cosy restaurant. I asked for gnocchi with mushrooms and cooked season vegetables with a glass of Montefalco. Everything was fresh and well done. The staff was very kind with us, even if we hadn't a reservation.

Popular among locals. Medium quality. Good price/quality ratio. The atmosphere is the one of a standard italian trattoria

We've eaten at this lovely restaurant on numerous occasions over a period of a decade. It never fails to tickle our palette, produce fresh in-season food, service and ambience. It's tucked away in the medieval town of Citta di Castello in northern Umbria. Italian families take their kids along, and it's just as nice a place for couples as well... More

Our group of 8 ate dinner prior to walking one of the pilgrimage routes of St. Francis. The setting was lovely and welcoming. The staff were very helpful making our large group feel comfortable. They were able to answer our questions and make good suggestions. The menu was made up of mostly local foods and provided a good variety to... More

We were lucky to get a table. At first they wanted us out by 9 because they had a big group coming then (25 people). But then the boss lady could change the arranging of the groups tables so we could stay on and enjoy the superb dessert after a splendid meal. So it was a wonderful evening in a... More

What a little treasure, I was taken there by my Italian colleagues the first evening. I enjoyed so much, I took other colleagues the next evening. Why? The restaurant is a true informal fun and welcoming family restaurant that achieves real, typical Italian cooking, not just pasta and pizza, but real plates of food cooked to perfection, in a truly... This is obviously a popular trattoria, so we had booked earlier in the day and were shown into a room that seemed to be full of locals. The pasta courses were really tasty and plentiful, so much so that it was a bit difficult to do full justice to the excellent and tender meat courses that followed. The staff seemed... More

Each visit to Citta Di Castello means a "must" dinner at Trattoria Lea. And with every visit,it just gets better and better. Specialities include many dishes with regional white truffles and their meats are terrific. Local homemade desserts, an espresso and gratis lemoncello end a delicious night. Think local, simple decor, pleasant to service. Nothing is rushed so relax and... More

Dined here with friends, food was very good and plentiful. They didn't mind us sharing platters of food, very accommodating staff. It was fully booked and very busy the night we visited which did make it a bit noisy, but added to the overall Italian atmosphere!

Imagine a rustic trattoria where the locals go have dinner among friends, where the food is tasty and simple, the house wine flows, and the conversation from the neighbouring tables is buzzing. Here you can feel at home. The dishes are fresh and regional, and some depend on the season, but in any case they are always prepared with care.... More
